We have been introduced the project by a Netflx series to watch : El Marginal. This series takes places in the carcèl de caseros, in Buenos Aires. It will be our project site.
The purpose was to start developping a thought and a process about what is real and what is invented, created or imaginary.
This gave ideas for further research about the real - unreal relationship in the places and spaces that surround us.
Paying attention to what is real when watching a fiction, that you subconsciously know as being invented, and so fake or unreal, is a very complicated work.
This questions about our internal knowledge, what we know as real, which is almost innate. However, when I was a child, my parents had to find a way to explain to me that what I was watching was not real. I remember having been absolutely horrified when I saw a magic tour on TV, where the magician cutted his assistant in two parts. Antoher scene of a traumatising movie would be for me when Cruella falls into couscous at the end of the 101 Dalmatians : this has been a horror scene which kept snipping into my dreams to transform them into icing nightmares for a whole year.
Consequently, our relationship to what we define as real or unreal is related to education, time and culture. Indeed, some beliefs are fixed in some cultures, relating to religions, nature relations, traditions, customs, tales, etc. that can seem unbelievable to people from another culture.
Also, some movies or series make us forget for a moment that this is a story, and that is often how we define them good or not. The goal of a movie producer is to make the viewer forgetting that he is watching a movie. This role or aim is more difficult to achieve with a series, because we come back to our real life, our lucidity, at the end of each episode.

2Misplaced → Anton Repponen & Jon Earle
Anton Repponen and Jon Earle worked on those eleven photomontages of actual buildings from New York and misplaced them in an unknown site. Nobody knows exactly what happened or why. Did they act of their own volition? Was there foulplay involved? What does it all mean? Stories trickle in from the future, from architects, online reviewers, and the buildings themselves, but these only add to the confusion.
